The Multidisciplinary Critical Care Knowledge Assessment Program (MCCKAP) is an online examination designed to evaluate the effectiveness of critical care fellowship training. Program directors can use it to assess their fellowship programs, and individual fellows can use it to independently measure their knowledge and progress. The examination features 200 multiple-choice questions covering core critical care concepts and patient management. Questions are accompanied by relevant visuals, including diagnostic imaging, monitoring waveforms, and photomicrographs, to reflect real clinical scenarios.

Program Benefits

  • Support board examination preparation for subspecialty certification in critical care
  • Identify areas of strength and weakness
  • Access targeted learning resources, including key terms and references for missed questions
  • Receive detailed performance reports for individual fellows, the overall program, and institutional percentile rankings
  • View preliminary scores and analyses immediately after examination completion

Based on national standards, the examination content is developed by multidisciplinary critical care practitioners experienced in examination preparation and analysis.
