Examination Dates: April 1-8, 2025
The Multidisciplinary Critical Care Knowledge Assessment Program (MCCKAP) examination is a timed, 4-hour, multiple-choice examination with accompanying graphics, including diagnostic imaging, monitoring waveforms, and photomicrographs. The questions pertain to critical care knowledge and patient management.
Based on national standards, the examination content is developed by multidisciplinary critical care practitioners experienced in examination preparation and analysis. No accredited continuing education credit is provided by SCCM for this program.
Program Benefits
Program directors will see the progress of their fellows in real time and access raw scores immediately on student completion through the SCCM Online Learning Director Portal. Final results will be available approximately five weeks after the examination window closes.

Registrants may be eligible for refunds of activities at SCCM’s discretion. If you have not accessed the activity’s materials, have not completed a significant portion of the activity, and/or the content does not meet your needs, you may be eligible for a refund. A registrant’s cancellation of an in-person activity may incur a fee, at SCCM’s discretion. To reschedule an in-person activity, please contact SCCM Customer Service at least 30 days before the activity. If SCCM cannot hold an activity as intended, SCCM shall not be liable for any costs, expenses, or fees related to cancellation of travel and attendance associated with the event.
A focused review for surgical critical care fellows and MCCKAP participants, this untimed practice assessment can be accessed immediately upon purchase. It contains 100 multiple-choice questions written by subject matter experts on surgical topics relevant to the practice of critical care. Detailed explanations and comparative cohort data are available upon assessment completion. Surgical critical care fellows can readily identify strengths and weaknesses in their knowledge base.
