Bringing together a highly engaged group of healthcare professionals, the course introduced SCCM’s educational model to a new regional audience while helping participants strengthen their bedside ultrasound knowledge and skills.
Faculty and participants fostered a collaborative learning environment that encouraged discussion, skill development, and the practical application of ultrasound techniques in critical care settings. The course’s interactive format and hands-on learning opportunities contributed to a positive educational experience.
The program also generated significant interest in future SCCM educational offerings, highlighting the growing demand for specialized critical care training in the region. Faculty noted strong participant commitment to advancing ultrasound-guided patient care and embracing evidence-based practices.
As SCCM continues to broaden access to critical care education worldwide, initiatives such as the Critical Care Ultrasound course in Banja Luka, the second largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina, help support clinicians with the knowledge, skills, and professional connections needed to enhance patient care and strengthen critical care practice in their communities.
