Although SCCM does not expect adverse events during Congress, the Society plans for all contingencies. The FAQ offers guidance for civil disruptions and government actions.

Registration Details

Once you arrive at Congress, please obtain your event badge. Registration is available in the West Center Lobby of the McCormick Place® West Building or the main lobbies at the Marriott Marquis Chicago and Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Chicago.

Scan the registration QR code from your pre-event email or enter your SCCM Customer ID or first and last name at a kiosk to check in and print your badge.

Registration Hours

Registration is on the third floor in the West Center Lobby and will be open during the following hours:

  • Friday, March 20: 6:00 a.m. – 5:45 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 21: 6:00 a.m. – 5:45 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 22: 6:30 a.m. – 5:45 p.m.
  • Monday, March 23: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 24: 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

A registration kiosk will also be available in the Marriott Marquis Chicago and Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Chicago main lobbies. It will be available 24 hours a day beginning Thursday, March 19, at 3:00 p.m. through Monday, March 23, at 3:00 p.m. The kiosks will be staffed for support during these hours:

  • Thursday, March 19: 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Friday, March 20: 6:00 a.m. – 5:45 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 21: 6:00 a.m. – 5:45 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 22: 6:30 a.m. – 5:45 p.m.
  • Monday, March 23: 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Getting to the Convention Center
McCormick Place® West Building is easily accessible by multiple forms of public transportation and has dedicated parking for those driving. View parking details and public transportation options. For those using rideshare or taxi services, a dedicated pick-up and drop-off zone is located on the first floor at gate 40.

Education Schedule

Make the most of your Congress experience by planning in advance which sessions to attend. Log in to favorite sessions and create your schedule.

  • To log in, click Login in the upper right and enter the email address and password associated with your SCCM account.
  • To favorite a session, click the star next to it.
  • Locate all your starred sessions by clicking the My Schedule tile on the main screen.
  • Favorited sessions also push over to your MySCCM account during Congress, which expedites the credit-claiming process.

Faculty Resources

Faculty who wish to review their slides or practice how to use the presentation interface can come to the Speaker Ready Room located in W183A. Faculty can upload their presentations or make changes up to an hour before their scheduled presentation. The Speaker Ready Room will be open during the following hours:

  • Friday, March 20: 12:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 21: 6:15 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 22: 7:00 a.m. – 5:45 p.m.
  • Monday, March 23: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 24: 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.


Student Volunteers

Thank you for volunteering! You should have received specific instructions via email. For support, email support@sccm.org or visit the Help Desk next to room W182 and gates 40 and 43/44 entrances.

After the Event

Claim Credit

  • Log in to MySCCM with your email address and password.
  • Choose My Learning in the gray bar.
  • Scroll down and click the link labeled 2026 Critical Care Congress.
  • Find evaluations and information on accredited continuing education (ACE) credits and maintenance of certification (MOC) points and obtain your certificate of attendance.

You must claim ACE credits and MOC points for the live education by March 6, 2027.
Pharmacists: Credit for each live session must be claimed by May 21, 2026.
Respiratory therapists: Credit for each live session must be claimed by March 22, 2027.

Congress Digital
Access session recordings. Congress Digital will be available by April 20, 2026. You will receive access instructions via email.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
Cancellations for the 2026 Critical Care Congress and associated events must be submitted in writing and are subject to a $100 nonrefundable processing fee. Cancellation requests for the event must be postmarked or submitted via email to support@sccm.org or faxed to +1 847 439-7226 before February 18, 2026. Cancellation requests postmarked or submitted after this date will not be refunded. Please allow four weeks to process refunds.
