The Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) is excited to announce its new partnership with award-winning international knowledge-based media company WebsEdge to bring SCCM Congress TV to the 2026 Critical Care Congress, taking place March 22-24, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

SCCM Congress TV brings a thrilling element to the conference, using video to enhance attendee experiences throughout the event. It will serve as a unique platform to help highlight the most important issues and hottest topics shaping the future of critical care.

SCCM Congress TV will produce daily episodes throughout the conference, featuring:

  • On-site in-depth interviews and discussions, reports on session highlights, and attendee insights and reactions from around Congress
  • Prerecorded, five-minute documentary-style films from hospitals, universities, institutions, and organizations wanting to highlight programs, case studies, and ongoing initiatives that are making a difference

You will be able to watch SCCM Congress TV on the SCCM website, YouTube, on site in Chicago, and across social media.

As the 2026 Critical Care Congress approaches, WebsEdge will be reaching out to organizations to discuss the opportunity to produce a film about their work to be included in SCCM Congress TV. There will be a limited number of prerecorded slots this year, as well as an associated cost.

If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please contact WebsEdge representative Huw Harries at huw@websedge.com

Frequently Asked Questions

What is WebsEdge?

WebsEdge is an international film and broadcasting company with offices in London and Washington, DC. It was founded by former BBC journalists and has been producing medical and scientific conference TV for more than 25 years. WebsEdge currently partners with a number of major medical and research associations—such as the American Urological Association, American Diabetes Association, American Academy of Neurology, Society of Thoracic Surgeons, and American Transplant Congress—to create short, documentary-style videos that highlight programs, research, and innovation in each specialty.

Why is SCCM working with WebsEdge?

WebsEdge will produce SCCM Congress TV for the 2026 Critical Care Congress—the official TV show for the conference. Its role is to capture and share stories from the critical care community in a professional, broadcast-quality format.

What is WebsEdge asking institutions to consider?

When WebsEdge contacts hospitals or universities, it is offering an optional, paid communications opportunity: a professionally produced video that showcases the institution’s critical care research, programs, or innovations.

  • This is not a charitable appeal and not a request for a donation to SCCM.
  • It is similar to commissioning a video or media package from any external production company.
  • Participation is completely optional, and institutions are free to decline.
  • Individuals may reply directly to WebsEdge to request placement on its Do Not Contact list to avoid being contacted about future WebsEdge opportunities related to SCCM or other organizations WebsEdge works with.

If an institution chooses to move forward, the video is:

  • Produced by WebsEdge, in line with SCCM guidance
  • Featured as part of SCCM Congress TV at the conference
  • Owned by the institution to use after the conference (e.g., for websites, social media, or outreach).
How does SCCM protect member information and maintain trust?
  • SCCM has not given WebsEdge any member email lists or shared individual member contact information. WebsEdge identifies and approaches institutions directly based on its own research into critical care programs and centers.
  • WebsEdge’s work is structured so that it does not compete with or replace SCCM’s existing sponsorship opportunities. It is a separate, video-based communications opportunity.
  • Any support SCCM receives through this partnership is used, as with other industry collaborations, to advance SCCM’s educational mission and programs for the critical care community.
Why did SCCM choose to pilot this partnership?

SCCM chose to partner with WebsEdge because SCCM Congress TV offers several potential benefits to the critical care community:

  • It highlights innovative work in critical care from a wide range of institutions.
  • It gives hospitals and universities a way to tell their story in a format many do not have the resources to produce on their own.
  • It provides additional educational and awareness-building content for attendees at the 2026 Critical Care Congress.
