Airway and Mechanical Ventilation Management Hosted Course

The live, instructor-led, two-day course is the traditional method for delivering the Airway and Mechanical Ventilation Management course. SCCM encourages sites to become self-sustaining in their course delivery through delivery of hosted training programming. An overview of the hosted training model is provided here.

• SCCM’s hosted training team will connect first-time sites with an SCCM consultant to help with course planning and management.
• A course director at the hosted training site arranges for a qualified instructors to deliver presentations and skill stations.
• SCCM provides presentations with speaker notes, instructions for accessing and administering online modules, skill station guides, administrative materials for planning and managing the course, and online testing.
• SCCM delivers course ebooks to learners when the course director registers them for the course. Sites will have the option to obtain print textbooks as well.
• Online course access as well as pre- and posttests and evaluation information will be accessible to the course director through an online course dashboard.

SCCM’s hosted training offers sites with options for course delivery and learning by providing materials for online and in-person training. Sites can continue with the traditional method of meeting in person for the full course or assign some or all online course materials for learners to complete prior to attending the live course.

Training sites have the flexibility to arrange modules and coursework within a program in a way that best meets their needs.

Hosting sites are encouraged to train and run the course as many times as they like and can purchase additional course access for learners as often as needed. Because there is no separate license fee, there is no expiration date for running the course as long as the site has purchased learner access.

SCCM will continue to support fair and flexible pricing using its tiered pricing structure. Pricing tiers are based on a country’s gross domestic product at purchasing power parity per capita as reported by the World Bank in its most current World Development Indicators database. This allows SCCM to accommodate ranges in needs and available financial resources.
