Within the United States For physician fellowships, the training program must be approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. For master of science in nursing or doctor of nursing practice programs focused in critical care, the training program must be approved by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. For pharmacists in critical care residency or fellowship, the training program must be approved by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. For physician assistants in a critical care fellowship, the training program must be approved by the Association of Postgraduate PA Programs.
