SCCM is offering this event with the option to attend virtual/online or in person. If this event cannot be held in person or is limited by government order, SCCM will still provide the virtual/online version of the event. If at any time before the event you decide to not participate, you may request and will receive a full refund. Please allow four weeks to process refunds. SCCM shall not be liable for any costs, expenses, or fees related to your cancellation of travel and attendance associated with the event. This includes but is not limited to cancellation of airline tickets, car rental reservations, and hotel reservations. Continuing education/continuing medical education and maintenance of certification credit are available. Physicians, nurses, and physician assistants are eligible to receive up to 19 credit hours.

Target Audience
This continuing education activity is intended to meet the needs of intensivists, anesthesiologists, cardiologists, emergency physicians, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, and all other professionals who care for patients in any setting in which critical care is provided.

Type of Activity 
This live workshop will focus on applying knowledge and practicing skills and techniques of ultrasound in the intensive care unit.

The Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) supports recommendations that will promote lifelong learning through continuing education. SCCM promotes activities that encourage the highest quality in education that will enhance knowledge, competence, or performance in critical care practice. Credit Hours 

Physicians: Accreditation Statement: The Society of Critical Care Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 

Designation Statement: The Society of Critical Care Medicine designates the live educational activity, Critical Care Ultrasound: Adult, for a maximum of 19 AMA PRA Category 1 credits™. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. 

Nurses: The Critical Care Ultrasound: Adult activity has been approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider No. 8181, for up to 19 contact hours. 

Physician Assistants: The American Academy of Physician Assistants accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education or a recognized state medical society. Physician assistants may receive a maximum of 19 Category 1 credits for completing this activity.

Maintenance of Certification 
Successful completion of this continuing medical education (CME) activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 19 medical knowledge maintenance of certification (MOC) points in the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Anesthesia, and American Board of Surgery MOC programs. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the number of CME credits claimed for the activity. This course meets the requirements for MOC for up to 19 credits.
