If this event cannot be held in person or is limited by government order, SCCM will still provide the virtual/online version of the event. If at any time before the event you decide to not participate, you may request and will receive a full refund. Please allow four weeks to process refunds. Continuing education/continuing medical education and maintenance of certification credit are available. Physicians, nurses, and physician assistants are eligible to receive up to 9.5 credit hours.

Target Audience
This continuing education activity is intended to meet the needs of intensivists, anesthesiologists, cardiologists, emergency physicians, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, and all other professionals who care for patients in any setting where critical care is provided.

Type of Activity 
This live course will focus on applying knowledge and identifying techniques of ultrasound in the intensive care unit.

Physicians:
Accreditation Statement: The Society of Critical Care Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Designation Statement: The Society of Critical Care Medicine designates the live educational activity, Advanced Critical Care Ultrasound: Adult, for a maximum of 9.5 AMA PRA Category 1 credits™. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. 

Nurses: The Advanced Critical Care Ultrasound: Adult activity has been approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider No. 8181, for up to 9.5 contact hours. 

Physician Assistants: The American Academy of Physician Assistants accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education or a recognized state medical society. Physician assistants may receive a maximum of 9.5 Category 1 credits for completing this activity.

Maintenance of Certification 
Successful completion of this continuing medical education (CME) activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 9.5 medical knowledge maintenance of certification (MOC) points in the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), American Board of Anesthesia, and American Board of Surgery (ABS) MOC programs. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the number of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit. ABS requires participants to self-report credit if audited.
