The Pediatrics Section exists to foster the care of critically ill or injured children and to ensure that this patient population and their healthcare providers have a voice within the Society. Through its committees, the section actively is engaged in guideline development, the dissemination of clinical and basic science knowledge regarding pediatric critical care, and professional support of the members.

Getting Involved
The section encourages members to become involved with the important challenges facing pediatric critical care by participating in the committees and work groups. As advocates for children's issues within the Society, we can work together to address issues, develop guidelines, and disseminate knowledge about critically ill and injured children.

For more information on how to become a member of the Pediatrics Section, please contact Carol Prendergast at: cprendergast@sccm.org
