Discussion is focused exclusively on issues of concern to advanced practice nurses including clinical issues such as patient care problems, ethical dilemmas and case studies; research utilization; role issues; scope of practice; credentialing, certification and licensure; economic, legal and regulatory issues; effective collaboration; upcoming educational programs and career opportunities.
Netiquette Rules for the ANPACC Listserv:
Some guidelines must be followed to keep the aims of this listserv in perspective. Please read the following rules:
- Remember the prime purpose of the listserv is to discuss issues germane to advanced nursing practice. So, all messages should have some thread that most members are interested in.
- Keep in mind that anything communicated via the listserv is now in writing and will be read by many. The content can also be distributed elsewhere. So BE CAREFUL.
- When replying to a message, DO NOT include the ENTIRE message to which you are responding. If you feel it's necessary include part of the original message.
- If you have a continuing disagreement with another member, don't hash it out over the Net; rather, take it outside the listserv and send individual mail to the individual.
- Please use a "signature" at the end of your message with your name, address, affiliation, and phone/FAX number. Identifying each other will assist our communication.
- Avoid offensive language or racist/sexist remarks. Remember that this is a listserv for professionals and such comments will not be tolerated.
- Try to keep your messages short and to the point.
- Patients should not be identified.
- The "Subject" title should accurately reflect your note's content.
