The SCCM Pennsylvania Chapter is a multiprofessional organization composed of critical care practitioners, whose purpose is to foster collaboration amongst caregivers at a state level for the enhancement of patient care. Members of the chapter include physicians, nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, physician assistants and other healthcare professionals.
The Pennsylvania Chapter's mission is to provide its members with educational opportunities, professional resources and a chance for networking with other critical care professionals from across the state in order to improve the quality of critical care in the state of Pennsylvania.
The Pennsylvania Chapter will be hosting their annual scientific session and business meeting on August 26th, 2011 in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This “Sixteenth Annual Challenges in Critical Care” conference is designed to promote the scientific evaluation of methods of care and to translate current literature into strategies to optimize the care of the critically ill patient.
