As part of the Society of Critical Care Medicine’s (SCCM) mission of securing the highest quality care for all critically ill and injured patients, SCCM offers current students membership at no cost, if they are a part of an accredited or recognized critical care fellowship program.
United States: For physician fellowships, the training program must be approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. For master of science in nursing or doctor of nursing practice programs focused in critical care, the training program must be approved by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing or the American Nurses Credentialing Center. For pharmacists in critical care residency or fellowship, the training program must be approved by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
Outside the United States: Critical care focused fellowship training programs located outside of the Unites States are approved individually based on local accreditation standards in that country. Please contact the Sponsored Fellows Program at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Sponsored fellows enjoy most member benefits. Sponsored fellows may not make motions, vote, or hold office.
If you are currently enrolled in a critical care fellowship program, speak with your program director about joining SCCM. For SCCM membership information, visit the Member Center.
If you are interested in enrolling your students as SCCM-sponsored fellows, you must complete the program enrollment process. Once complete, the SCCM team will work with you to ensure that you can enroll your students and begin receiving member benefits.
If your program is already enrolled in the SCCM Sponsored Fellow Program, please visit your program portal to add, edit, or remove students in your program roster.
