2009:  Hilton San Francisco Hotel, San Francisco, CA

Review Courses: July 14 - July 18, 2009

Adult Multiprofessional Critical Care Review Course

Click here for the General Information & Registration Brochure.
Click here for the Adult MCCRC Agenda.

In addition to the ongoing Question and Answer session and networking opportunities throughout the five days, SCCM utilizes two proven learning methods that participants quote as "highlights" of the conference.  These include:

  • Problem-Based Learning Discussions (PBLD) is a student-centered instructional strategy in which students collaboratively solve problems and reflect on there experiences.  All attendees have been divided into three small groups, as indicated by the color sticker in you bedge.  Over the next few days, you will rotate through six different topics where a series of problems and/or case studies will be presented.  Although the answers are listed in the back of PBl booklet, you are encourage to be an active participant in the problem-solving process and reference these answers at the end of the course.
  • Audience Response System (ARS) integrates into faculty presentations and allows the audience to participate in lectures by submitting responses to interactive questions using a keypad.  Immediate results are displayed with the presenter who can monitor knowledge levels and provide feedback.
