SCCM Symposia Opportunities

There are a variety of options to support education at the Society of Critical Care Medicine's (SCCM) 42nd Critical Care Congress. Formats have been developed to deliver high-quality programming that's planned and implemented by a multiprofessional team of experts. Their combined clinical knowledge and expertise will ensure each session provides a balanced view of available therapeutic options. These industry-supported sessions are an anticipated and well-received component of Congress. A panel of distinguished speakers will provide insight on new or controversial developments affecting most intensive care units (ICU).

For additional information on SCCM's Congress Demographics, see the 2012 Congress Attendee Profile.

CME And Non-CME Educational Formats Available

1. CO-SPONSORED SYMPOSIA (CME)- these activities conform to CME/CE regulations. Sessions are developed solely by SCCM or with an approved co-sponsor, with SCCM providing the CME/CE. These courses will be held unopposed on Monday afternoon, January 21, as part of SCCM's Congress and are open to all Congress registrants.

If you are interested in becoming a co-sponsor with SCCM or if you have a potential topic to propose for collaborating with SCCM, please click here.

2. PROMOTIONAL SYMPOSIA (non-CME)- these activities may not offer CME/CE through SCCM or any other provider. Sessions are developed solely by SCCM or independently, but must be presented in an educational format that will provide insight on new or controversial developments affecting most intensive care units (ICUs). These activities will be held offsite, are not considered part of the meeting, and will be offered on Saturday evening, January 19; Sunday morning and evening, January 20; Monday morning, January 21; and Tuesday morning and evening, January 22.
