
Award Applications
Only In-Training and Young Investigator awards require an application. Recipients receive $1,500, a personalized plaque and a one-year complimentary membership to SCCM for nonmembers. Applications must be submitted on official letterhead, signed by a program director and submitted by September 1, 2011, to congress@sccm.org or faxed to +1 847 493-6425.
All applicants must:
- Indicate the award for which they are applying
- Outline their qualifying criteria
- Indicate the abstract ID
- Indicate the dates of fellowship/training and the director's name
In-Training Award applicants must:
- Be in a critical care training program or have ended training not more than one year prior to Congress
Young Investigator Award applicants must:
- Have completed a training program at least 18 months (but not more than six years) prior to Congress
SCCM SECTION TRAVEL GRANT-New for 2012
Select SCCM Sections will offer a $500 Travel Grant for a selected applicant. Sections participating:
-Anesthesiology, Emergency Medicine, In-Training, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Nursing, Pediatrics, Pharmacy, Physician Assistants, Surgery, Uniformed Services
Applicants must:
- Attend Congress 2012
- Be the first and presenting author
- Demonstrate excellence based on score
In order to be considered, complete the application by September 1, 2011.
Nominated Awards
Upon acceptance, your abstract may be considered for an award. Abstract-based awards are given to oen person on behalf of the abstract. The contact author will be asked to provide the appropriate name. For more information, contact Diane Alberson at dalberson@sccm.org.
Annual Scientific Awards
Recognizes the top 10 abstracts submitted based on outstanding research. Winning abstracts are awarded $750.
Specialty Awards
These awards are given to the top-scoring abstract in each of the following categories. Winners will receive one complimentary registration for one of the abstract authors to the current Congress.
