1.   E-LEARNING SPECIALIST

Description:  Serves as the primary administrator for LearnICU and its components

Primary Responsibilities:
• Works closely with director and managers to collect, update and maintain content in the Learning Object Library (LOL)
• Collects, enters and formats content for the LOL and trains other staff to perform these functions as necessary
• Develops, enhances and improves skills in e-learning software and supports and educates staff in using these tools.
• Assists volunteers and staff in capturing presentations for later storage in the LOL
• Works closely with staff to assist in the development of online CE/CME courses, Performance Improvement CME courses and other on-line courses
• Participates in the development of strategies to leverage SCCM’s content for use in a digital (web-based) environment

Preferred Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design or educational technology and/or related technology certificate
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience with databases and electronic archiving/delivery systems
• Direct, recent experience with e-learning development, curriculum design, training methodologies, and online education

2.  DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY  

February 2010

Description

Seeking a person to recommend, plan, develop, implement, and manage the Society of Critical Care Medicine’s technology program.  Includes coaching and leading resources in the Technology Department.

Primary Responsibilities

• Monitor external technology trends and deliver solutions in support of SCCM activities
• Develop skills and abilities of the department staff and provide managerial guidance, coaching, and feedback.
• Ensure SCCM technology systems are highly reliable and accessible to staff and members worldwide
• Manage software development process through internal development or external sources
• Supervise the ongoing development and maintenance of SCCM’s network including servers, workstations, printers, and other related technology.

Background

• Highly organized individual with managerial and technical background
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience with complex systems and supervising staff
• Experience with iMIS association management database desirable
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Work experience with medical association or non-profit organization required
• Evidence of ongoing continuing education/training preferred

3.  PROGRAM MANAGER   

February 2010

Description

This position works closely with SCCM members to develop and manage quality improvement activities and to monitor and analyze regulatory/legislative matters that could impact SCCM members.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate quality improvement and outcome measurement initiatives
• Collaborate with SCCM volunteers to develop/enhance tools for quality improvement programs
• Collaborate with staff and members to incorporate trends and research into educational conferences and publications
• Monitor, analyze and report on regulatory and legislative activities
• Establish and maintain relationships with organizations with similar regulatory and legislative interests.
• 
Background

• High energy person with background in clinical healthcare
• Experience in organizing, leading, and managing quality improvement intiatives
• Familiarization with US government healthcare regulations and legislative matters that impact healthcare
• Critical thinking skills and excellent interpersonal as well as organization skills.
