Membership in the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) signals your dedication to the practice of critical care and your ongoing support of the Society's mission to secure the highest quality care for all critically ill and injured patients.  Membership Types

 

All membership categories, except the International Associate and Senior categories, include a subscription to Critical Care Medicine. If you have an existing subscription to Critical Care Medicine directly with the publisher, you must write to cancel that subscription. Please send a letter of cancellation to Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, Attn. Periodical Publishing, 351 West Camden Street, Baltimore, MD 21201-2436.

Physician $395 
Provides full privileges of membership. 

International Physician $266 
Available to physicians residing outside of the 50 United States. Provides all privileges of membership, except the right to make motions, vote or hold office. 

Young Physician $207 
Available to individuals who have completed their fellowship training programs within the last three years. Membership may be renewed annually at this rate until three years after the physician completes the fellowship program. Documentation verifying the fellowship program completion date is required. Provides full privileges of membership. 

Healthcare Professional $171
Available to all healthcare professionals, except physicians, including: advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, pharmacologists, physician assistants, respiratory therapists, scientists and others. Provides full privileges of membership.

In-Training $90 
Available to fellows, residents and students in specialty training programs or pursuing education in healthcare and related fields. Provides all privileges of membership, except the right to make motions, vote or hold office. Membership may be renewed annually at the in-training rate until the year the member completes the training program. In-training applicants must submit documentation verifying training status, including program director’s name, date(s) of training and the name of the institution. 

International Associate $60 
Available to all healthcare professionals residing outside the 50 United States. Provides all privileges of membership, except the right to vote, make motions, hold office; receive Critical Care Medicine; or apply for fellowship in the American College of Critical Care Medicine. 

Senior
Available to individuals holding full membership the calendar year of retirement. Provides all privileges of membership, except the right to hold office or receive Critical Care Medicine. Membership dues are waived for senior members. Critical Care Medicine and any other SCCM publications may be purchased at the special membership rate. Requests for senior membership will be granted automatically to a full member in good standing.
