Title: Member Service Representative
Company: Society of Critical Care Medicine
Location: Mt Prospect, IL
Full Time
Description: Troubleshoot, replicate and resolve customers/members inquiries related to online course access, connectivity issues, account lockouts, and other technical related requests. Assist in the day to day activities of the Customer Service department.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain knowledge database of customer/member technical issues. Document nature of issue and recommended solutions
  • Provide customer/member support and technical issue resolution via phone and electronic support using helpdesk software
  • Acts as customer/member advocate and makes recommendations regarding improvements to products, services, and systems
  • Provide basic training to customers/members on navigating various SCCM products and services
  • Attempt to resolve all customer/member issues that are Level 1 issues
  • Associate or high school degree or 2 years customer service experience
  • Must be patient, outgoing, and willing to learn
  • Experience in assessing and troubleshooting customer technical issues
  • Proficient with MS Office and navigating databases
  • Detail oriented
  • Bilingual in Spanish (helpful)

Title: Meeting Specialist
Company: Society of Critical Care Medicine

Description: Coordinate the logistical functions necessary to produce the educational and business meetings of the Society.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Works with staff and member volunteers on business meeting logistics for the annual meeting
  • Works with Meetings Manager on RFP process for selection of vendors
  • Works with decorator on development of signage for annual meeting
  • Works with security, floral, photography and caering vendors for the annual meeting
  • Manages logistics of some in-house meetings
  • Works with Meetings Manager on logistics for educational courses
  • Works on a variety of items including development of meeting resumes, processing invoices, and development of promotional materials
  • Participates in preparation of budgets for annual meeting and other education events
  • May assist in site selection activities
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business/meeting planning/hotel management
  • 2-3 years of experience working in meetings industry
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and working with complex databases, spreadsheets and forms
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and be flexible in terms of activities and solutions
